Guatemala

Well, it seems that I haven't posted any Guatemala pictures..... I don't have many, but here are a few. We got there on November 1, All Saints Day. There is a HUGE celebration. They make kites, which are supposed to link the people in heaven with the people on earth....Some of the kites are well over 30 feet in diameter. The celebration is held in the cemetery, and people are just running over the graves.....
The net day, we went to San Paulo, where we stayed the remainder of the time.We got to San Paulo by taking a boat across the Atitlan Lake. We were met by a group of local weavers and given a wonderful lunch. They demonstrated their crafts after lunch.
Here's Dad in one of his clinics. Then there's a picture of him with his interpreter, the lady who runs the program there, some folks in the waiting room of the new clinic, and a charming couple of local folks. We finished the clinic, and they held clinic in the new facility for the first time while we were there.
.This is the "construction crew"........... hard at work!
This is a street shot and a view from our hotel room....
