Mary's Seventh Birthday

It was a low-key affair, as she had to compete with school and Vittoria's dance recital. But the Rice Krispie treats seem to have made it all worth it.

Mask Pfest!!!

The West African Mask Pfestival was last week in Dédougou. It was so much pfun!

Oh, look! There's me!

The masks were mostly of animals.  They would come out and dance to drums and little flute type instruments.  I would say a recorder, but not exactly.

There was also a dance at night that was cool.  Their masks were made of shells.

This orange guy was one of my favorites, but I was never able to get a good picture of him. :(
