Police Academy: Narcotics and Weapons of Force

As you know I am doing the Citizens Police Academy. Last week we did Narcotics and the Narcotics expert brought in his gear. It's pretty heavy! It weighs probably about 20-30 pounds. He did not have in the side plates, so it can weigh more than that.




These pictures of the guns are not so great, but this po-lice was funny, so I wanted to include pictures. He said police, "Poe lease." "FREEZE!!! PO-LICE!" It made me laugh. He would also say it normally, but you get the idea. "The bad guys have massive guns, why not the po-lice?"




He was also telling us about the taser and had his taser gun. Some people volunteered to be tasered! LOL The normal taser is not on the skin like that but rather has 2 barbs that come out connect to the gun with wires. The electricity then shocks them. 50,000 Watts or something like that. But the cartridge with the wires costs $25, so he did not use them but just did the direct electricity.
