Getting Ready for Vittoria

Vittoria will soon be old enough to spend the night at Aunt Rhoda's. Aunt Rhoda has a one year old age minimum for sleepovers. :) Well, today she found this! Bleached it and is ready to go. Not too much longer, Baby V.

Triathletes

Believe it.

Swim 20 min. Bike 20 min. Run 20 min.
This is Kristi before the race.

I swam about a 1200.

Biked 5.8 miles. This was my weak point. Someone biked 11 miles!

Kristi on the run. See that guy next to her? I'm glad he wasn't next to me. He was serious athlete man and would be intimidating.

We are champions.

Mary's First Book

It is only nine pages long, because Katie's first book was ten pages long, and she couldn't have her book be longer than Katie's.
By Mary (It was apparently quite a struggle to convince Mary that it wasn't Bi).
Once upon a time there was a mom and dad.

Something about two minutes.

He said can I now (?).

Daddy said "OK, I will do that."

Now you have to give the baby back to me.

I will.  OK.

Katie's Second Book

With translations, for those of you who need it.

"The Birthday"

Once upon a time, there was a boy and he was going to have a birthday.

Now, they are getting ready.

The day was his birthday and he was very excited.

Now he is waiting for his friends to come until he sees one of his friends.

And the last person was Maddie and that was his best friend and the mom said when she gets here, we can start the party.

Now maddie came and the mom said start the party.
Now he is going to give her a knock-over hug.
They are giving group over hugs.
And when the mom says it is time to eat cake.
And now they are having cake.

And it was sad for them  to be leaving, but his grandma and grandpa were coming so that is going to be fun.

Now the grandpa is here and the grandma is here.

And now they are going to a fancy(?) restaurant.

He is eating lentils and fish.
She is eating his and chicken.
He is eating hot chile.

Now he is throwing a coin into the river.

Now they are driving home.

Now they are going to sleep.

Now they are going back to Colorado.

More pictures from the CO visit

It was not as easy as you might think to get 5 young children to all look at the camera and smile at the same time. Here are some of the better ones I took:

Alina had the most difficulty in this task

Mary had some groovy glasses in a few of the pictures :)

Here is some art work I found after everyone left. These are not like the pictures from the website Josh emailed me. These are good.

I think I got a sampling of each girl who drew, but I am not positive.
