Winter Break in Michigan

While in MI, I took the girls to the mall for a pfun treat.
When V saw this was coming she cried as I took it from the counter to the table for her, worried she would not get it. She ate the whole thing.

They got the same thing for Christmas as Alina and Ania. :)

We finger painted.

Katie entered a contest with her photography. It was awards night. I don't have a copy of the photo she entered. It was good, though.

Mary, V and I made another trip to the mall.

Mary and I decorated her room with pflowers. That was a pfun project. This creature got pflowers in her hand. Mary decided she needed a name. Aunt Rhoda. Awesome.

Then she wanted me to take her picture around the room while she posed.

We also went to Schakolad in Northville. The woman, who was also named Mary, brought Mary behind the counter for a special tasting.

Blimpy Burger

Whilst in Michigan I got to visit Blimpy Burger. There is an order so do not mess up. First you get your tray and tell them if you want sides or anything extra.

They will let you know if you mess up.
As featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Then you keep moving down the line. This picture got me in a little bit of trouble because the flash went off. The grill cook said, "$20 for all photos." I laughed and said, "Oh, I thought no flash photography." He laughed and did not spit on my burger.

And that beauty is my burger with a side of onion rings.

New Year's in DC

We had a lovely visit in DC with Libby and MK's family.

We rode the subway and that got big smiles.

Wonder what Mary did for that laugh.

We went to the Smithsonian and saw Dorothy's ruby red slippers.

Then we played with the science stuff there.

The devil lives here.

Before Christmas, Christmas, and after Christmas

I know a few other posts have been made of this... but here is Alina painting (Christmas present from Aunt Rhoda)

I'm fast forwarding in time, but here are the final products (the coffee cup was decorated by Ania, and the square by Alina). They turned out super cute! Thanks, Aunt Rhoda!! :)

Alina let everyone take her for a ride on the carousel that day. I think we blew about $12 on that thing. That was money well spent. Alina thought so, anyway.

Check out Ania's hair - ha! :)

She tired.

Ania LOOOOOOOOVES ranch dressing.

Action photo of eating ranch dressing. It's hilarious to see in person, her hand moves back and forth from the tray to her mouth in record speed. Then she screams for more.

With Babcia at Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas

Uncle Josh cooking lobsters (thanks, Mom and Dad!). You can also see the cereal that Santa brought for Alina. (Alina wanted Santa to bring her toys and food... so he did)

Trying on Uncle Josh's shoes

Alina took a better picture of Jay than I think I ever have. :)

Alina's new scooter - she is SO excited about it :)

Clock

At the Detroit airport. And you can see her awesome black eye.

Colorado PfChristmas

I somehow managed to not take many photos in CO.
Here we are at the rec center. Ania is getting so big!

Here is Alina painting her pottery.

We went to the aquarium one day. That is where Alina took her pictures. Can't remember if I mentioned that or not.

Alina fed the stingrays and then took off her band aid, which she realized was a bad choice and cried.

These were taken at the aquarium.

Momma. There was one of Aunt Rhoda, but she is exercising her right not to post it. :)

If I had such fancy socks and shoes, I'd probably take pictures, too.

This is what she sees all day.
